Colours of Colombia

Colombian people consider the following colors as the most meaningful in their culture: white, yellow, blue, and red. White means purity and peace. For Colombians '''white" symbolizes their fight for peace and usually it is a white bird that represents peace. However, you will not find a white bird on my picture. Instead, I used magnolia flower to represent white color, because for me it is the purest flower I have ever seen, and as a part of nature it will always symbolize peace.

Yellow means sunshine and gold. One of the natural resources in Colombia is gold. I hope that the picture of someone blond curly hair and golden jewellery reflects sunshine and gold in a clear way.

Blue means the ocean. Colombia is the only country in Latin America having access to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. I wonder if you can guess what have I used to make this picture? I will help you. It is simply a blue glass in front of the blue sky.

Red represents civil war and the blood of Colombian soldiers. The other meaning is love and friendship as in other cultures. Colombians celebrate the day of love on the second Saturday of September. However, my picture is about civil war. It is kind of scary but still this is how the civil war looks like in real life.
Thank you for your time and attention to my post.
