My own opinion about the freedom and independence of China

Since China is a country with a long history and i'm not good at telling the history process,so i'm just write this essay to express my own opinion about the freedom and independence of China.


China was quite wealthy and independence before the Opium War in 1840. Lacking technology and confidence as well as fight equipments, China failed the war. Unfair treaties were made and English people began their colonialism in China. A series of war were broken one by one, such as Second Opium War, Sino-French War, Jiawu Sino-Japanese War. China wasn’t finally struck in the colonialism until The Eight-Power Allied Forces war of aggression against China in 1900.


During that time, besides rude our people, many countries plundered Chinese material and money as well. There’s no doubt that Chinese people went through a difficult time because they had no freedom or respect both in economic and political area.


The most serious colonialism to China was from Japan. We Chinese fight with them about eight years. Although we Chinese people like to be friendly, we still can’t get along well with Japan now because they were so cruel to us at that time. They tried to change our country into their’s , they killed our compatriots and ruined our land, making our country like hell. To be alive for Chinese people was difficult , let alone to have freedom or independence.


In 1949, People’s Republic of China was founded and from then on, we Chinese people can finally up our head and have our freedom and independence. We can do whatever we want in the legal range to celebrate our happiness everyday. We can walk around , speak our own langue, sing aloud, express our love and respect without worried about our safety. As China is making improvements faster and faster, Hong Kong and Macao also have been returned back to our country.


As far as I’m concerned, freedom and independence means a lot to China, however the most important thing is the unity .Although China has already been an independent country, more things should be done. For instance, we must protect both our Taiwan island and Tibetan people and also some other areas so that we can stay in harmony as a whole and not being ruled by any other country in the political. Secondly, China should develop itself to make more independence in other sides such as economic area and so on. Instead of making things for other country, we should create our own industry to enrich we Chinese people, which is the best way to let Chinese people earn respect and freedom.


There’re 56 nations in China, as we can see, different nations have different customs. All things considered, the total meaning of freedom to China is to let each nation have its own right to choose their lifestyle freely and enjoy their peaceful life without afraid . Now I’m share the freedom of China, however I’m also looking forward to having more freedom ,independence and respect. Keep moving , China!
